Which shelves can handle it all?

I'm remodelling my kitchen and am looking for reliable shelving to store crockery and food. Wooden ones are out of the question - I'm afraid they'll swell from moisture over time. Has anyone used stainless steel shelves? How stable are they, do they bend under weight?

After a year of use - not a trace of rust, they do not bend, even when pots are placed on them. They can be washed in a jiffy. A great solution for the kitchen!
