Has anyone recently tried to submit something to the yahoo directory? And is it still functioning?

I am referring to the free non-commercial directory as i don't think it works anymore. Even if it did work however would you bother to submit your site there as i don't know anyone who actually uses it.
 
The Yahoo Directory is a web directory that rivals the Open Directory Project in size. The directory was Yahoo!'s first offering.

I was thinking about this again recently and after some research it appears that yahoo are charging people to add their url's to the yahoo directory. Has anyone recently added their website for free into the yahoo listing? Not the search engine but the actual directory?
